Mechanical heart assist devices, namely, left ventricular assist devices (VAD); Surgical instruments for VAD implantation namely, tunnelers, coring knives, wrench, dissector, anastomotic devices, and pump sizer used to facilitate creation of an intra-thoracic pocket; Implantable sub-components namely, sewing rings, atrial cannulae, ventricular cannulae, and implantable pressure sensor; External components of ventricular assist devices, namely, monitoring display devices, external controller, external batteries, battery charger, emergency controller; Accessories for use with ventricular assist devices, namely, stabilization belts, driveline cover, driveline belts, and carrying bags, backpacks, vests, shirts, pants, and suspenders all used for medical purposes and all specifically modified to hold the external system components of ventricular assist devices; Medical apparatus and instruments for treating cardiovascular disease comprised of embedded medical software that records and analyzes data received from a patient worn monitor, display monitors which record and present data received from a patient worn monitor, power cables, and portable disc drives, all for use with cardiac assist devices for treating patients with heart disease
